HR Director, reporting to GM

Our client - 5* hotel in Kazakhstan

Main requirements:

  • 4-year Bachelor`s degree from an accredited university in Human Resources, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major. Certified trainer.
  • Minimum 5 years in similar position with proven track record
  • Fluent in English, Kazakh and Russian
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written paired with excellent presentation skills
  • High potential, dynamic, pro-active attitude and goal oriented
  • Self-motivated, hardworking and possessing innate leadership skills

Job responsibilities

  • Managing the Human Resource strategy
  • Executes and follows-upon team member engagement survey related activities
  • Champions and builds the talent management ranks in support of the property and diversity strategy
  • Translates business priorities into property Human Resource strategies, plans and actions
  • Coordinates the human capital review process at property level and leads succession planning activities on property
  • Leads the assessment of property leadership pipeline through the human capital review process and assists with follow-up
  • Creates value through pro-active approaches that will affect performance outcome or cost control
  • Serves as key change manager for initiatives that have high employee impact
  • Attends meetings as member of the property executive committee and provides meaning or context to the Human Resources Result (retention stats, critical open positions, employee satisfaction, training initiatives and results)
  • Balances the development of existing talent and business needs
  • Serves as coach and expert facilitator of the selection and interviewing process
  • Monitors sourcing and outcomes of staffing process
  • Remains current and knowledgeable in the internal and external compensation and work competitive environment
  • Creates and implements total compensation management packages, offers, particularly recognition and incentive programs directed towards property priorities
  • Continually reinforces positive employee relations concepts
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures
